Jamie is an RTS & Grierson nominated, BAFTA Cymru Award Winning Filmmaker, with nearly 20 years' experience crafting bold, ambitious observational documentary series, factual films and presenter led shows for prime-time terrestrial television.

Specialising in the development, production and delivery of first-time concepts, he is adept at cultivating access and crafting compelling, thought-provoking films, with human interest storytelling at their core. A number of the series he has made in recent years have gone on to become established brands, including Surgeons: At the Edge of Life and 60 Days on the Streets.

He has strong editorial instincts, a proven track record for navigating complex legal and compliance issues, managing budgets and running large teams, from pre-production right through to post and delivery. 

He is comfortable managing access to large institutions and confident liaising with and reporting into key stakeholders, including Executive Producers and Commissioning Editors. He also has experience devising complex production protocols, including hostile environment guidelines, for filming teams to follow.

He is used to working alongside onscreen talent, creating trusting and collaborative relationships to make the best film or series possible. He also has vast experience of working with vulnerable contributors, building productive, trusting relationships throughout the filming process. 

He is an established broadcast camera operator, with strong visual sensibilities and extensive experience working independently. As well as making films across the UK, he has also spent a significant amount of time overseas in the United States, India and throughout Europe. As well as shooting his own films, he also has experience directing crew and fixed rig teams, too.

He is experienced in the edit, taking a number of challenging films through post in the last decade. He's thorough and creative, with good communication and script writing skills. He has a strong working knowledge of post-production work flows and is a highly competent user of Avid + Adobe Premier Pro. He's also used to running final post, including VO records, dubs, grades and onlines.

He has a full clean British driving license and a valid I-Visa for the United States.
